Pete Engelhart Reco BNC

Pete Engelhart began crafting metal percussion instruments after spending time in Brazil in the 1950’s. He combined his life long love of jazz, a knowledge of latin rhythms and sounds, and his ability as an artist to produce complicated resonant tuned bells.

Pete has now been hand crafting metal percussion for nearly 45 years. He has designed a large variety of highly creative instruments that are now used worldwide by many professional musicians.

The Reco-Reco BNC is a combination of the Brazilian Reco-Reco (spring guiro), cowbell/agogo bell and a high pitched metal disc. The instrument can be played mounted or hand held. With endless possibilities, this is a must for today’s serious percussionist.

Gon Bops Berimbau Caxixi

Material: All-Natural materials, Sustainable Wild Banana Tree Seeds, Hard Gourd Skin Base. Tone: Provides excellent rhythmic accompaniment and color. Hand-Woven in Brazil this caxixi is used primarily with Berimbau. The combination of the red seeds striking the gourd-skin base, produces a sharp, high-pitched tone, contrasting the softer, deeper pitch when the seeds strike a woven body. The shape of the handle is designed to be easily played in hand when playing the Berimbau, the traditional Brazilian wooden musical bow.

Pete Engelhart Sapo

Pete Engelhart has come up with the perfect drumset addition. The Sapo has a mounting bracket and will fit on a bass drum hoop or stand and is a perfect compliment for latin-influenced music. Pete has tuned the bells so they can be a sound effect and a rhythm instrument. It is an agogo bell, square bell and metal spring and rod. The musical possiblities are endless with the Sapo.

Pearl New Yorker Cha Cha Bell-Low Pitch

The Pearl New Yorker Bells are designed after the original bells used in Salsa bands in New York. These bells have a unique sound that can crossover for all styles of music. They are one-piece construction for superior sound and durability. The Low Pitch Cha Cha Bell is 5.60 inches, more mellow sounding than the High Pitch. Recommended as an all around bell for various genres.
