Rick ., I’m new to your site but I really enjoy your playing and teaching, and Im in my second week of playing every day to your videos only. At 72 yrs. old , you’ve become literally a life saver for me. I’ve had great teachers and played with some great people, but I don’t want to bore you. I’m having problems with ”left hand leads”on the hi-hat. .Playing with the band, the electric instruments and my own right hand, like on the Maxixi, is drowning out the left hand. The only alternative that I’ve come up with, is using both hands on the drums.Any other ideas, please let me know. Listening to you on latin music, reminds me of what Joe Zawinol said to Peter Erskine when joining Weather Report, that he didn’t want to hear 2 and 4. I guess Latin music shys away from that. Thank you very much for being you. I still have a lot of work, left, but I’m loving every minute of it. Thanks for helping out an old-timer, trying to stay young, especially during this down time. God bless, Danny Goodchild
